Beasley Genealogy Portal
New additions to the website
Written by Doug Beezley Tuesday, 03 June 2008 18:27
For registered users of the Beasley Genealogy Website, we are beginning to gather some additional information. For one thing, the DNA test results spreadsheet that Mark Beasley has posted in now available on the Beasley Genealogy site. We are beginning to save the text of some of the more informative emails that have been circulating so that they can be easily found and reviewed. More additions are in the works. If anyone has ideas or suggestions, please send to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Also, if you would like to be able to submit articles or links directly to the website database, let me know at the same email address and I'll advise how to do it.
There is much to learn from one another about our ancestry. Stick with us and keep coming back for more.
Note revision in Forum

I upgraded the forum software and now have the opportunity to move threads. I moved George Beasley's comments from General Discussion to the Family line area, including the heading of George's ancestor. Try to keep conversations in the appropriate topic area so over time it will be easier to locate what we want. How common (or rare) are you?

Among the top 55,000 surnames in the Social Security Death Index, the number one name is SMITH. Number two is Johnson. (Big surprise?)
So where does Beasley stand?
Beasley is number 575 out of 55,000
Beesley is number 12595 out of 55,000
Beazley is number 15517 out of 55,000
Beezley is number 43839 out of 55,000
No other variant makes the top 55,000

Looking to the left of this article, you will notice a new menu item. Yes, it's BEEZBUZZ...
That's the clever and catchy name for a website discussion board. Go there now. At this point the board is set up so it is visible to general public and to registered users. You will need to logon to contribute and I hope to take the opportunity to do so.
